MaRS offers a free, 30–week course on Wednesdays, from 6 – 7 p.m. that covers the nuts and bolts of building a business for emerging technology and social purpose entrepreneurs and those thinking of starting a business. Lectures are delivered by successful entrepreneurs and industry specialists. Entrepreneurship 101 is available via live webcast for entrepreneurs outside the GTA.

The course culminates in a business plan pitch competition in which companies compete for a $10,000 prize.
