CDMN Canada 3.0 National Tour Report for Winnipeg

By on Jul 26, 2012 / Categories: CDMN News, Featured

In June 2012, CDMN hosted its Canada 3.0 National Tour event which was hosted by CDMN node TRLabs, an ICT innovation leader in Western Canada, with regional promotion supported by Information Communications Technology Association of Manitoba (ICTAM), in Winnipeg, Manitoba. During a half-day of digital media strategy workshops, CDMN learned that increasing collaboration, fostering digital talent, managing security threats and evolving the digital landscape are major priorities for industry thought leaders and government representatives in Manitoba.

At this forum, and at many of the National Tour events in the past year, participants requested that Canadian government and industry work together to develop a national digital economy strategy to ensure our success both at home and on the international stage.

The participants in Manitoba agreed that meetings and conversations, like the ones held at the CDMN Canada 3.0 National Tour event, must continue, and there are plans to carry forward the conversations started in June with regular meetings to evolve the action plan.

For a full summary of the discussions that took place in Manitoba, download the report here.

Stay tuned for more reports from the continuing Canada 3.0 National Tour workshops later this fall. In case you missed it, here is a link to earlier reports from New Brunswick, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Ottawa and a link to the Vancouver and Calgary event summaries from earlier this year.

As always, we welcome your comments and ideas on how we can work together to accelerate the growth of Canada’s digital economy. Please send your feedback to info@cdmn.ca or connect with us through social media.
