Attention Researchers, Startups and SMEs! Catch Canada’s Digital Wave Workshops Next Month in Western Canada

By on Oct 5, 2012 / Categories: CDMN News, Featured

Want to attend a workshop to learn about creating opportunities for Canada’s wireless and digital media researchers, developers, startups and SMEs? The Gaming, Graphics, Animation and New Media Network of Centres of Excellence (GRAND) in association with Wavefront, and the Canadian Digital Media Network (CDMN), is pleased to announce that it will be presenting four, free full-day workshops (from 8:30am to 4:00pm with lunch to be provided) across Western Canada in November.

The goal is to spark discussions between industry, researchers, government funding agencies, and the venture capital community and to foster relationships that might lead to spin-off and startup companies built on the innovative work emerging from Canada’s research labs.

The workshops will highlight the development of innovative gaming, graphics, animations, new digital media and wireless technologies originating at Canada’s universities. They will also provide a forum for the communication of research results, and will offer a networking opportunity for researchers to meet with key stakeholders and to increase awareness and understanding of the industry’s wireless and digital media needs and problems.

Below are the details on the workshop dates and locations (click the links to see the agenda).

Due to space limitations, the workshops can only accommodate 80 participants. So, click here to register early to secure your spot.
